| Introduction | So, here's the deal. I'm not going to write one of those awkward third person bio things because well, it's awkward. I'm Sean. I grew up on Long Island (I know, we say "awesome" too much, get over it), went to college in Philly where I learned to be poor (thanks Drexel) and how to make movie-films. That's right, movie-films. I love film in just about everyway, except sexually because that would be creepy (and would probably hurt). But anyway, I love watching something new and something I know all of the lines and music ques for. But I enjoy nothing more than making films. Collaborating with a team of so many people to create one body of work just fascinates me. I've worked in various departments, but writing is where my heart is. I wrote and directed a short film, "Wonders", about a man who finds a pair of magic gloves. I also co-directed/co-wrote an Emmy-nominated episode of the sitcom "Off Campus". Recently, I made it to the finals in the Amex/Tribeca Movie Pitch contest (thank you, Matt Kaufhold, for teaching me how to pitch). As I have mentioned on Twitter (sdarena), I will write for money. Or food. Or candy. But mostly candy. Email me at sean.d.arena@gmail.com |
