Introduction	After years of writing letters to The Advertiser, our local newspaper in Adelaide, South Australia, rejoicing with the odd one or two getting published, but seeing the majority never make it into the old black/white and read all over, I have decided to publish all my attempts to get the Editor's attention and outsmart those fine, fine journalists that work for Rupert Murdoch at News Limited, who have told me that my sentences are far too long for the attention span of their readership.
