| Introduction | Hey, everyone! My name is Emily. Not much to know about my background except that I was born and raised in Houston, Texas. My mother is from Sweden and my father is from Venezuela which hinders both of them from what the foundations of this country are built upon. My family isn't religious and very uninvolved in politics; neither of them vote. I, however, grew up in this country and would like to know what's going on in it. According to the quiz, I am a hard-pressed democrat, however I'm really not too cynical.I don't have any particular political influences; I agree with certain politicians on certain subjects but none of them are any I would fully support or compare myself to. I have voted but have not engaged in any more activity than that. As for what I want to get out of the class, I would like to get an awesome grade and also a better understanding of our Texas government. I'm really only taking it because it's a required course on my degree plan but I might as well take away something more than the three credits if I can. |
