| Introduction | Debra Beach: Educator, Designer, Consultant, and Business Owner. ABD, PhD in Instructional Design and Online Learning and working on my dissertation. Current: NW St. Community College, NSCC in Archbold Ohio. Past: Have served as an instructional design consultant to business and academia. Focus: Help universities improve their online offerings and to aid business in improving their training. Much of my work encompasses researching and formulating standards for online course curriculum, formulating online instructional standards, creating copyright policy, and directing instructor support teams. Also: co-owner of Flugga-Beach LLC, a business specializing in Photography, Web, Video, Interactive media, and Instructional Design. Presently working on two documentaries: 1.) Dispelling the myths and stigma of mental illness, 2.) Sustainable agriculture, (in conjunction with NSCC & Eating Local Foods ELF). Posts and resources presented on this blog are in relation to my sincere interest in learning (i.e., The assimilation, retention, and building of knowledge), training, communication, technology, design and ubiquitous computing as it applies to instruction. |
