Introduction I completed my Honours in Psychology at UQ in 2003. Following this I took a much needed break, and spent 5 years travelling the world, keeping myself busy by working as a Marine Biologist in Costa Rica, a hostel receptionist in the Czech Republic, a mental health manager in London and a bartender in Ecuador. I decided this had served as the perfect preparation for undertaking my PhD. My PhD research is focussed on the impact of multiple social norms, and how they may inhibit or encourage environmental behaviour. I'm also working on research on the power of moral outrage to promote political action in the face of social norms supporting ongoing injustice, and strategies for encouraging collective action amongst third-parties on behalf of disadvantaged or opressed people.
