Introduction	Hi, I'm Kim. My husband Jon and I come from the UK. We emigrated to New Zealand in 1995 where our children Jordan (15) and Kira (11) were born. In 2008 we moved to Africa for a new experience. I'd wanted to live in East Africa since I was 13. Despite two years’ research before we went, we ended up arriving with nowhere to live, no work to go to, no source of income, and no schools for the children. All we had was 2 days’ accommodation in a guesthouse and a suitcase each. Things worked out and we lived in Jinja, a lovely town in Eastern Uganda. I loved the pace of life, the beautiful weather, the simplicity of life. It did have its challenges, of course, but we bought some land before we left so we can go back again. We are now in the UK. Jon and I are from England, though this is the first time the children have lived here. We came back to be near family and friends for a while. The blog is a way for me to keep in touch with all my fans! ... or more likely a way for me to share a bit about life in the UK as seen by someone who has lived away for 15 years. Enjoy!
