| Introduction | Texas, United States Though I have traveled most of the United States and much of the world, I will always be a Texan. I've seen many beautiful parts of the world, but I have never found a place that tempted me to leave Texas for very long. I have blogged for many years aiming my earlier blogs at a narrow interest group. However in the last year or so I have begun to feel constrained by just blogging to a particular interest group. The fact is we live in the most interesting of times. The world is changing at a rate never before seen. Many people, as it has been through the ages, don't see change as a good thing. In fact, a large number of people find themselves threatened by change.I have always welcomed change. That is not to say that I too have not felt threatened by it at times. I have. But change is irresistible, and it interests me. I have been retired for several years. In retirement, as in life, I am blessed. I have the resources and the time to do what I love to do. One of the things I like to do is think about the issues before us as human beings. This blog will play host to those thoughts and my contemplation of all my interests. |
