Introduction	Educated at Perth Academy and Dundee University. Graduated in Politics and taught economics for thirteen years.Joined Financial Servies in 1984 and worked there since. Joined the SNP in 1955 and remained a member until December 1990 when left over policy differences over the party's support for the EU. Held office at every level including Deputy Leader between 1980 and '84. Contested Parliamentary CAs in Dundee West 1974, '79, Dunfermline West 1983 and Perth & Kinross 1987. Joined Free Scotland Party in 2006 and contested Perth in 2007.
