| Introduction | I am a student of biology at a small college in North Carolina and an avid observer of human nature. My favorite things are cool people, music, piano, computers, books, facetious equations, fire, theater, collages, cooking, science, skepticism, the Oxford comma, and food. Objective: to chronicle my efforts to feed myself despite my dietary issues and lack of cooking knowledge; to share recipes, sciencey stuff, the occasional rant, and overall knowledge. Note: I've never actually been DIAGNOSED with celiac disease specifically, only gluten-intolerance. But the symptoms and genes provide overwhelming evidence. More importantly, I really can't resist the alliteration--"celiac student." |
