Introduction	Simone Dilkara is an independent consultant who has built a career from successfully helping people and organisations establish new systems, partnerships and ways of working. She specialises in helping organisations and services reconfigure their existing resources and systems to get better outcomes. Her particular strengths include collaborative planning processes and collective mobilisation of multi partner projects. Most recently Simone has worked with the Goulburn Mulwaree Council as the Project Manager for the Groundswell Project. Groundswell was supported by a $1.96 million grant over three years from the NSW Environmental Trust. The project involved four regional councils, a local farmers group and an Aboriginal business development organisation setting up the systems to collect and process urban food scraps and garden waste. The project is enabling farmers and councils to pull urban organic waste out of the cities and back onto agricultural land, simultaneously reducing organic waste to landfill and increasing organic levels in agricultural soils.
