| Introduction | Brian Rainey graduated from Brown University in 2004 and received a Master of Divinity (MDiv) from Harvard Divinity School in 2007 with a focus in Hebrew Bible and Political Theology. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Religious Studies at Brown University. Brian has been involved in numerous political causes in the past eight years including the global justice movement, the anti-war movement and the LGBT civil rights movement. He identifies as a socialist, though he chooses not to affiliate with a formal socialist organization at this time. Brian is also a Christian and amateur theologian, with interests in theologies of liberation (especially black and Latin American), biblical prophets, and hermeneutics. |
