| Introduction | As a second grade teacher my mission is to teach the whole child. I will meet each child where they are socially and academically. I strongly believe that if a child has a positive outlook about themselves they will succeed. I will empower each child to believe in themself. I will guide them to realize that they have the ability to make good choices. I will clearly define the expectations for each child in my classroom socially and academically and hold high expectations for each child to pursue their full potential. I will strive to create in each child, through my nurturing classroom, a foundation to be a life long learner and a compassionate citizen with a strong sense of self-esteem. |
