| Introduction | I am a 51 year old woman living in the Midwest. Living high on life involves ice cream, regular vitamin D therapy, a husband who "gets" my need to run and make winter visits to the beach, two imaginative and empathetic (eighteen and twenty-year old) boys who are grown and having their own life adventures as young men, an adopted girl doggy addition to the family from Oklahoma named Nova with Doby ears, live music (especially if it's outdoors!) and pushing heavy weights around the gym (I love to iron!). Happiness used to be being able to bench press my boys. Now my oldest lives in the mountains and can climb and cut down trees wider than I am tall. And my youngest, my artist, is in his first year of college at our local university. Even though I'm not ready for empty nest season, I'm loving every minute of it. |
