| Introduction | A graduate of Ashland Theological Seminary, I am the pastor at South Union Mennonite Church in West Liberty, OH. Most importantly, I am a follower of Jesus the Christ. I seek to follow Jesus relentlessly. My desire is to pray unceasingly, rejoice with thanksgiving, worship whole-heartedly, cry and mourn in God's arms, think and speak passionately about Jesus, act in accordance with God's will, love God and others with heart, mind, and soul. My fixation is to carry out these things every day of my life, striving to be "perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect" (Mt. 5:48). Yet, life is a journey that I struggle on. I am an ordinary person seeking to be holy; I live an ordinary life hoping it will be extraordinary; I desire to run the race as hard as I can for Jesus, yet sometimes fumble when putting on the running shoes. As an ordinary sojourner, seeking to walk the path to the Triune God with all integrity, honor, faith, hope, and most importantly love, I ask for God's forgiveness for my sin and thank Jesus for God's loving grace. |
