| Introduction | I have been writing and editing for past 25 years. I am an award-winning publications designer/editor at a state university and a freelance writer/book editor for the craft industry. Topics of interest include machine embroidery, quilting, handcrafts, and travel. Online, I write the Sew Easy blog at AnntheGran.com and developed three channels featuring embroidery, quilting, and handmades on Suite101.com. I particularly enjoy designing annual holiday ornaments and published several of my own patterns. Print articles and photographs have appeared in local newspapers, regional Sunday papers, and state-wide tourism publications in addition to Pennsylvania Magazine. I have two adult daughters and reside on seven quiet acres in northwest Pennsylvania with my husband and lots of cats. |
