Introduction	I'm a doctoral student at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. I live in a cottage on a lake in the country. I am passionate about people, about food, music, dance, and other cultural practices. I am also an aspiring naturalist and am deeply concerned about the environment. I love to travel, to sing and dance, and to be with my friends. I write about food and cooking in *Kitchen Empress, and chat and muse about the rest of my life in Our Lady of the Lakes. An Anatomy of the Wild* is exclusively my photographs, a series of photographic responses to the question "Can we disappear from the frame we've created?" Finally, Our Lady of the Woods is my space to think about environmental impact, environmental protection, consumption, policymaking, and various other aspects of human interaction with and impact on the planet Earth.
