Introduction	As the name of this blog suggests, I first and foremost LOVE to travel. Around the corner or around the world, I am always up for exploring a new destination, or an old favorite! And I can pack my bags in the blink of an eye! I was bit by the travel bug at an early age when a very courageous high school Spanish teacher I had decided to take a group of teenagers to Italy for our spring break! What he was thinking I will never know, but it was the start of my "love affair" with traveling and I will never forget that. Italy was an amazing first international travel experience and broadened my mind and opened my eyes to new cultures. Since that first trip way back in the early 80's (Yikes! Am I getting that old!)I have lived in Switzerland during a study abroad, traveled throughout Western Europe, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, a variety of places in the U.S. and experienced the beauty of the "Land Downunder" (AKA Australia and New Zealand), and rang in Chinese New Year in Hong Kong. But since work is an integral component of having the financing to travel, much of the year I "toil" away to save up for my adventures, whatever they may be.
