Introduction	I am a thirty something, second career, passionate, energy-filled pilgrim in this life. I have been down many roads and now find myself calling Evansville, IN home. I am a relatively seasoned Director of Worship and Music at Good Shepherd Catholic Parish, and am still loving it. It's not everyday someone moves to a town where they have no friends and no family and still feel like they belong (though I'm not sure I'd do it the same way again). I am a former Catholic seminarian and Franciscan Friar so my connection to the Church is deep and precious to me. I am also very open to other expressions of faith and life that I come in contact with. God gives us all a peice of the truth, and we just need to look around us to find the rest. I hope you enjoy my reflections.
Favorite Movies	I am a big fan of movies. Since moving to Evansville, I started my Blockbuster Online subscription, and I love it. I would probably enjoy any movie that was creative and imaginative. I enjoy everything from SciFi (Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, etc.) to action (The Departed, The Game, The Italian Job, etc.) to drama (Big Fish, Elizabethtown, etc.) to romantic comedy (Beautiful Girls, When Harry Met Sally, etc.) to independant/foreign film (Like Water for Chocolate, Fairwell My Concubine, Amelie, etc.) to comedy (Evan Almighty, Shallow Hal, etc.). But, I always love what I call a good "Guy Flick." Now, this is not the typical shoot em up sort of film, but one that speaks to men's relationships and issues. Many of the movies I listed are part of this category as well.
Favorite Music	I have a very ecclectic musical taste as well. I always love a good beat, but I really love a powerful and moving lyric. I would say I lean toward adult alternative music. Some of my favorite bands are Barenaked Ladies, Coldplay, Ben Folds Five, and Ani DiFranco. I also enjoy other genres of music including pop, rock, classical, country, hip-hop, and oldies. Church music is my career but also my passion as well. I love meeting or talking to songwriters and sharing our struggles and passions. I love anything from the heart.
