| Introduction | Hello, I'm Mai. I live with eczema. Which means I understand, very personally, what it is like to exist in a body that reacts to almost everything and demands gentleness. Eczema has taught me about patience how three things I care about, health, environment, and mental wellbeing are connected. I care about young people who are doing their best in systems that were not built with them in mind. I care about mental health, disability, and the quiet struggles that do not always have the right words yet. I also care deeply about the environment. Although it is not my current career, I enjoy informing people in how our Earth touches our lives every day. I believe environmental care and human care are inseparable. When we look after the planet, we are also looking after people, especially those who are already vulnerable. |
