Introduction	L'ORIENT is an Amel Super Maramu 2000, hull number 422. She is a 53 ft. ketch with a beam of 15 feet and a draft of 7 ft. She has a 100 hp Yanmar auxiliary diesel engine, a 5KW generator, and wind turbine for our power needs. Inside, we have all the comforts of home, including 3 refrigerators, microwave, dishwasher, clothes washer, oven, watermaker, and full entertainment system. L'ORIENT has an SSB, Sat phone, HD radar, and VHF with AIS. We purchased her in 2010 and have been preparing her for our trip since then.
