| Introduction | Since I was a child, I have loved reading and have maintained a journal off and on for more than 40 years. My book, "Teaching the Story: Fiction Writing in Grades 4-8" (Maupin House, 2007) reflects these twin passions of reading and writing. "If you want to write, read!" My debut YA novel, "Half-Truths," is coming out through Monarch Educational Services in June 2025. I co-publish the "Talking Story" newsletter with Rebecca Wheeler and coordinate the blog for Write2Ignite. |
| Interests | In addition to writing, teaching writing, and blogging, I love listening to books on CDs, biking or golfing with my husband Creighton, reading and playing with my grandchildren, planting flowers, and eating chocolate. Not necessarily in that order. |
