Introduction	I am a librarian. I am a mom. 2011 was the year I gained both a diploma and a son, but even before I could officially claim either title I was a collector of books. As friends or family members became parents they often asked for suggested books for their children so I began to keep a list for when I had children. Working in a library setting, I am surrounded by more books than I can ever read. My list of books is represented in notepads, post-its, and files, but this blog is an attempt to keep my favorite books organized and to be able to search the history with tags. I want to be able to share books later when my son that I love today without having to go through stacks of papers. I will also takes suggestions from my librarian coworkers who have different favorites, different degrees and experiences, and different reasons for loving a title. I always welcome suggested books. As my son is still an infant, this will begin focused on picture books, but eventually I suspect juvenile and young adult literature will be mentioned as I also read those.
Favorite music	I'd say 1/3 of my cd collections are musicals.
