About me

Location Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States
Introduction I am an historical archaeologist and I also serve as a volunteer in the National Park Service's 'Volunteers in Parks' program. I have been active in historical archaeology for more than two decades and have conducted academic and cultural resources studies on archaeology sites in the American West, the Mid-Atlantic, and South Africa. My current research involves exploring the different ways that the public accesses and makes use of Independence Park archaeology for social identity needs in the present. I teach as an Adjunct Assistant Professor and am currently involved in an NSF funded project developing computer vision-enabling technology for 3D reconstructions of archaeologically recovered ceramic remains. Between 2003-2005, I conducted extensive research in the Independence Park Archives on the 30-year history of archaeology at Franklin Court.
