| Introduction | My birth family included mom, dad, brother and two sisters. Living in central Michigan on a small farm gave us all practice in raising animals, growing massive amounts of produce which mom preserved, plus the opportunity to work for other produce farms to earn spending money. Sports were important to the family. Mom was also great at teaching us sewing and hand work. All of these activities have carried through to our adult life. Dad was handy with a hammer, a motor, and a hoe. Such a great heritage. |
