Introduction	I am a reporter, writer, teacher and speaker who believes that good journalism is crucial to a thriving democracy. In addition to writing for magazines, newspapers and businesses around the country, I co-coordinate the Journalism Methods program and teach reporting and writing at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. A native Arizonan, I now live in suburban Chicago with my wonderful wife, Laurie, and three amazing sons.
