Introduction	I was born in Alaska but grew up in southwest Virginia and Washington State. I lived in New York during law school, first Buffalo and then Spanish Harlem. After law school I taught English in the French Riviera for one year before moving to Anchorage, Alaska in 2010 to work as a judicial clerk for two years. In short, I'm a recently licensed attorney and lover of all things new and interesting, especially languages, traveling and anything that involves being outside.

Favorite books	God of Small Things (Arhundati Roy), The Inheritance of Loss (Kiran Desai), Anything Barbara Kingsolver or Lee Smith, trying to get into more high-brow stuff these days but not quite there yet

You've written a hit musical! How will you avoid having fame go to your head?

I think the answer here is pretty clear: become a recluse and wander around my mega-mansion in footy pajamas muttering to myself. I'll still have tons of friends because I'll be too busy talking to my "agent" to realize when people are stealing from me or squatting in my house for longer periods of time than I would normally allow.
