| Introduction | Halsell (pronounced Hall-Sell), in addition to authoring this blog, is the Salary Cap Analyst for FootballOutsiders.com, where he pens the salary cap and player contract column entitled "Under the Cap;" Halsell is also a contributor to ESPN.com and frequent guest on Comcast SportsNet's "Washington Post Live." Halsell has 4 seasons worth of NFL Salary Cap and Player Contract experience. For 2 seasons, he was the Salary Cap Analyst for the Washington Redskins, where he played a role in every player contract negotiation to occur during that period (contracts include LaRon Landry, Clinton Portis, & Chris Cooley, amongst others). Prior to his tenure with the Redskins, he worked for 2 years for the NFL's labor relations department, the Management Council. Halsell is a graduate of Clark Atlanta University and received his MBA in Sport Management from the Stillman School of Business at Seton Hall University. Halsell is a native of Clinton, MD. |
