| Introduction | While attending East Forsyth High School, I was introduced to a wonderful program - North Carolina Teaching Fellows. From there, I received a full scholarship to Western Carolina as a North Carolina Teaching Fellow where I received my B.S.Ed. in 1997. In 2010, I graduated from Greensboro College with a M. Ed. During my 15 years at Cash Elementary, I have taught K, 1st, and 2nd grade. My heart is truly in 2nd! My husband attended Cash and our son, Chance, is continuing the tradition as he enters 3rd grade. It's funny because there are 5 teachers at Cash that each have a son going into 3rd grade. On a personal note, I have been married - I guess about 9 years. My husband and I always forget! Chance is our only child. We were smart enough to stop there and rescue Bo - our half Lab half Dane mix. He is the greatest dog ever! Back to teaching - I love teaching my second graders! I hear a lot of people say, "I don't know how you do it". Well, it's so much fun to watch them transition into a "well-oiled machine". Some days it may take longer and I wonder how I am going to do it. But, in the end, the smiles and hugs as they leave makes it OK and fulfilling! |

You're wearing a sweater that stretches down to your feet. What color belt do you put on?
I HAVE NO IDEA WHY THESE QUESTIONS KEEP POPPING UP AND I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO GET RID OF THEM.
