Introduction	Filipino and Proud...Single and Strong :) I grew up in the Philippines, near the beautiful ocean water and under the sun. I was always surrounded by fresh fruit, mangoes, pineapple, banannas, papaya, guava, jackfruit, mongosteen, atis, coconuts, rambutan, santol, tambis, the list could go on! I currently live in Michigan and I am adjusting to a very different lifestyle at the same time while trying to understand my "American" friends. It is interesting living in two countries that reflect different values from one another. I've always been to my friend's hometowns and met their families and extended families. I wish one day I could bring my friends to MY home so they can experience the Philippines, swim in the ocean my dad taught me to swim in, witness the poverty and show compassion to the needy people, walk the streets and bargain at the markets. Maybe they'd understand me better and get a better glimpse of my childhood. HAPPINESS IS BEING MARRIED TO A FILIPINO.
