| Introduction | The St. George Church Preservation Society (SGCPS) was incorporated in 2015 after a plan was proposed to close and demolish St. George Church (St. John Vianney) in Pittsburgh's Allentown neighborhood. Now that the parishioners' Vatican appeal to reopen the church has been rejected, we will move forward to keep our Community connected and preserve our heritage and legacy. We'll maintain our website and database and organize occasional fellowship events, along with providing keepsake items for sale in the St. George Store. We'll also preserve the artifacts, trophies and archives that we have in storage. |
