| Introduction | Life is full of changing seasons. In 2005 I found myself in a season of transition with a lot of questions about what was next for me. (I guess you could say I was having a little mid-life crisis). As I began to ponder my purpose in this new season, God began to stir a desire inside of me to connect with other women. We play so many different roles in one lifetime. We are sisters, daughters, wives, moms, aunts, granddaughters, friends, lovers, mentors, grandmothers...the list goes on. We have a lot going on, and sometimes in the midst of it all we feel like we lose ourselves, or at least, we fear that we will. In 2008 that desire took shape and For the Girls International, Inc. was formed. FTGI was founded to awaken women to the dreams God has given them and encourage them to then reach out and touch the lives of those around them for the better. The world is full of hurting people. Armed with the transforming and unfailing love of Jesus Christ, we can help. It is my pleasure to be part of a growing sisterhood of women engaged in making a difference on the planet, expanding the Kingdom of Heaven while we are here on earth. |
