Introduction	I bought my 1938 Ranch in June of 2009. My house was a foreclosure that had been vacant for about four years and neglected for at least ten. My housebuying adventure was filmed for an episode of My First Place where the disembodied narrator questioned whether I was making "the biggest financial mistake of my life." The jury is still out on whether he was right or not. I'm a passionate gardener and DIYer. I have no idea what I'm doing but I'm a librarian so I have access to a lot of how-to books. I'm also pushy, so I get a lot of help and advice from my awesome friends.
