| Introduction | Yena hiwot is an amharic phrase which means 'my life' and is used as a term of endearment. When I first heard this phrase I knew it was to be the name for this blog. It is the exact sentiment I felt the first time I laid eyes on my daughter and continues to be the sentiment I feel as I continue to grow my family through adoption. My children, and all those who have traveled with me and all those I have met along the way...yena hiwot, you are 'my life'. |
