| Introduction | I have been married to my wonderful husband Steve for almost 8 years. I am "the mamma" as my husband calls me, to 2 beautiful children Will, almost 4 and Sara Catherine 5 months. We also have 2 angels I can't wait to meet one day. I am the typical busy mom. I bought convenience foods, ate out and never paused for a minute. Until, one day after the birth of my daughter I realized that I could do better. This is my journey to begin eating out of the box. To stop buying pre-packaged foods and start cooking from scratch. Along the way I might just sneak in some healthy stuff. |
| Interests | All things kid related, smocking, sewing, fishkeeping, cooking, breastfeeding, cloth diapering and literacy. Quite a diverse list. |
| Favorite movies | Mostly classics and girlie movies. My faves are Pride and Prejudice (anything by Jane Austen), the Bridget Jones movies, Gone With the Wind and 10 Things I Hate About You. |
| Favorite music | I like a lot of different styles, mostly alternative rock, but I also enjoy some slower paced stuff like John Mayer, Sara McLaughlin, and Norah Jones to name a few. |
| Favorite books | The aforementioned Jane Austen, and the Patricia Cornwell Kay Scarpetta books mostly. I'm sad to say that while I love reading I haven't read much in quite a while. |
