| Introduction | Greetings ... I set up this blog to discuss homeland security and emergency preparedness education issues. I have many years of experience in risk assessment, toxicology, environmental health, and public health preparedness. I helped build and staff state-level preparedness systems and plans (specifically for chemical and hazardous materials emergencies). My years of training public health preparedness partners have shown me that creating sustainable training programs in public health, homeland security and emergency preparedness is the only way to "prevent another Hurricane Katrina." Hopefully this will continue to serve as my new home as I develop my online teaching career in these fields. Enjoy. |
