| Introduction | Beth Blackburn: Stephanie Tomlin: A Utah native, Stephanie discovered mountain biking in the mountains of Park City. From there a road bike quickely followed and then later on a touring bike too. But cycling for Stephanie is about more than her quiver of bikes. In college, while persuing a degree in Environmental Studies and Political Science, she became the school's first Bicycle Coordinator, a position that gave her the ability to teach others about the many aspects of cycling. From infrastucture development to group rides to creating a Bike Collective, Stephanie was able to make some major changes to the way people biked on campus. Upon college graduation Stephanie became involved with the Salt Lake City Bicycle Collective and a local environmental non-profit. She currently works in the Salt Lake City Office of Sustainability, helping clean the air by promoting the use of alternative transportation! She believes bikes are the key to recreational bliss and a sustainabile future. |
