Introduction Dr. Devenyi graduated summa cum laude from the University of Toronto School of Medicine. Following an internship at Sunnybrook Medical Center, he completed his Residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Toronto. He then did further training in the subspecialty of Vitreoretinal Surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin, in Milwaukee Wisconsin. He has been on staff at the University Health Network and the Hospital for Sick Children since 1988, and the Director of Retinal Services at the University Health Network since 1993. Dr. Devenyi has been the Ophthalmologist-in-Chief at the Donald K. Johnson Eye Center at the University Health Network since 2001. He is also a Professor of Ophthalmology and Vision Sciences at the University of Toronto, and the Team Ophthalmologist for the Toronto Maple Leaf Hockey Club in the National Hockey League. Dr Devenyi is also on staff at the Toronto Retina Institute and Crystal Clear Vision in Toronto. In 2014 Dr. Devenyi was appointed to the Karen and William Barnett Chair in Ophthalmology at the University of Toronto.
