| Introduction | This is the story of what happens when your dreams don't turn out the way you plan and you have to pick yourself up and start over again...When I met him, I was looking for someone to just hang out with. He was someone I thought was so honest, and when I looked in his eyes my feeling of being out of control seemed to calm immediately. He was the most mannerly, gentlemanly person I'd ever met--holding open doors, not doing more than holding my hand. I initiated the first kiss. We talked for hours on end and it didn't take me long to fall in love--by the time he said "I need you to know I'm falling in love with you." I already knew I was there. Now, not even two years later, I'm trying to figure out how to pick up the pieces of my life. Some days it hurts to breathe and takes a lot of effort just to get out of bed. This is my journey. |
