Introduction | Once, when I was a student, I sat up all night testing myself on Trivial Pursuit questions. You'd think that that in itself would preclude any kind of relationship but apparently not. Having said that, I'm fairly stacked which may have helped. Who knows. I also tell myself that I collect postcards depicting the covers of mid-century pulp/erotica magazines. That was because I once bought six in a row with the intention of framing them and creating a rather impressive gallery. I did neither. But sometimes I think about buying a clip frame. |
Interests | Creative stuff like writing, singing, painting, reading, gigs, movies, theatre, but not dancing - dancing is a challenge I rarely rise to unless I'm completely plastered and it's a song from Fame - then I am a combination of a Vaudeville act and a seven year old dancing to Steps. |
Favorite Movies | Moonstruck, Face/Off, Anchorman, Pillow Talk, Office Space, Shaun of the Dead, Moulin Rouge, Harvey, Election, Little Miss Sunshine, Broomfield and Broomfield-style documentaries. |
Favorite Music | Rufus Wainwright, Prince, Anthony & The Johnsons, New Pornographers, Arcade Fire, The Specials, Cat Power, Neko Case, Rilo Kiley, Radiohead, Ike & Tina, Kaiser Chiefs, Martha Wainwright, showtunes |
Favorite Books | Black Dhalia, The Collector, The Minatour takes a Cigarette Break, Birdsong, The Line of Beauty, Notes on a Scandal, Wuthering Heights, The Bell Jar, L-Shaped Room, stuff by: Salinger, Fitzgerald, Amis (K & M), H.E. Bates and old stuff like Gaskell |
The wicked backspin caught you off guard. How will you play it off without losing your footing?
I'll hit it. Then I'll put on my lipstick and the umpire will give me 60 runs just because I'm pretty. I guess that's why they don't let girls play.
