Introduction | I am an actor, speaker, writer, traveler, and cook. (By day I consult in the public finance arena.) I am an avid reader and have been a big fan of the works of Shakespeare for more than 40 years. The title of my blog comes from a line spoken by Iago in "Othello": "I should be wise, for honesty's a fool, and loses that it works for." Although I don't agree with Iago's sentiment, I like the phrase "I should be wise..." It seems that after all these years of study, experience, and reflection, I should be wise beyond belief. But I'm not - I'm just more curious. So the words I intend to share here are not the words of a master, but the words of a seeker and a student. I hope some wisdom sneaks into them from time to time. |
