| Introduction | I live with Pops, Princess (6 years old) and kitty cats. I was in outside sales for many years and met Pops on a sales call. When Princess was born, a friend wrote on a card in a gift, *This child will give new meaning to everything in your life*. Nothing could be TRUER for me. She is developmentally delayed and has special needs, which means Pops and I are special needs parents. We are in a world I knew nothing about. I am told we are navigating it pretty well and work on believing this to be true. Being MOM expands my heart with love. Being a wife teaches me how to be compassionate and look at my own stuff. I tend to easily feel joy, happiness, fear, anxiety, and depression. I am extroverted, social and need close relationships in my life. I am blessed to have Pops--he is an AMAZING father and a wonderful support system of friends. I am learning a great deal about faith. I am pushed daily-- to my "growth edge". I am learning acceptance and strive to live life on life's terms. It is my challenge to stay in the present and JUST BE. |
