| Introduction | I am Jo and this is my blog about my collection, restoration and use of antique and vintage sewing machines, I mainly collect, renovate and use Singer Sewing Machines. I love treadles and hand cranks but do own and use a few vintage electric machines. I decided to write my blog as I want to share my love of antique and vintage machines and show you how I care for them and use them every day. I am a great believer in that these beautiful pieces of history and amazing feats of engineering should be saved, used and enjoyed and that there is something very special about sewing on one and being connected to an age where things weren't made to be 'throw away'. I am hoping that my blog will inspire others to collect, restore and most importantly use antique and vintage sewing machines. |
