| Introduction | Sean is the owner of East Bay Acupuncture & Natural Medicine and a licensed acupuncturist. He specializes in both Fertility & Reproductive Medicine, and Orthopedics & Pain Management. He is one of only a few acupuncturists in California to hold dual board certifications by the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine (ABORM) and the National Board of Acupuncture Orthopedics (DNBAO). In addition to his master's degree in Chinese Medicine, Sean completed a 300-hour post-graduate program at Cedar-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, as well as advanced coursework at Zhejiang TCM University in Hangzhou, China. Sean previously taught the Pain Management class at A.C.C.H.S., an Oakland, CA acupuncture college. In addition to practicing Chinese herbal medicine, Sean integrates Western and Ayurvedic herbal medicine into his practice. These skills were deepened through a 2-year apprenticeship with Michael Tierra and a 6-month apprenticeship with Christopher Hobbs, both world-renowned authors on herbal medicine. Sean also taught yoga and meditation for 13 years, before recently making the decision to devote all of his professional time to his acupuncture practice. |
