| Introduction | Hello, welcome to my blog. I have had a lot of people ask me to start this blog. I am a shepherd and raise a flock of sheep for high quality hand spinners on Madeline Island in Lake Superior. There are a few challenges to raising sheep and farming on a small island. Many people would like me to share my adventures and hopefully to pass on some pleasurable stories and bits of wisdom to those who have just begun their adventure into the fiber world. When I started raising sheep all of my knowledge came from a few friends and vets that were nearby, now we can share information all over the world. My winter job is being a professional rug weaver and spinner. In the spring and summer I am a landscape gardener. All year long I am a shepherd. |
