About me

Gender Female
Location Madison, Mississippi, United States
Introduction My name is Jody, and I'm a 33 year old woman living with serious mental illness. I'm all about living well and making mental health my supreme goal, and breaking the stigma that binds us as people with mental illnesses. But that's just a little piece of the whole me, I love to eat and experiment with flavors, I love to cook and come up with new recipes. Laughter is my favorite therapy, certainly the cheapest, and I love anything that puts me into the throws of it! I enjoy reading and learning, never get enough of that. The internet is a big part of my day, love the celebrity blogs like perez and dlisted, also live for wikipedia. My main man is a 9 yr. old Lhasa Apso named Baggins Elvis Fortenberry, perfect in every way, he is! My closest friend is my Mom, she is actually the coolest person I've ever met. My goal is just to live as well as possible, staying fully engaged in life, taking on more responsibilities with NAMI, learning as much as I can about the world and myself, and just being the kind of person I'd like to meet.
Interests Good, no, GREAT food, philosophy, Baggins Elvis Fortenberry, NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness), yo-yos, amatuer photography (mainly of abandoned things), travelling, Dr. Seuss stuffed animals, PEZ, cookbooks, Spain, anything that makes me laugh
