| Introduction | "Lutra" is the slang abbreviation for Eleuthera. The island I am calling home for a few months. For the past five years, I have spent my days working for KPMG. It truly has been a great place to work. However, after coming to serve in the islands in July of 2009, I decided I needed a break from the cube farm. So, I have stepped away from my role as a marketing associate at a Big Four international accounting firm to serve with Bahamas Methodist Habitat for 12 weeks!I will be assisting them with grant writing, communications, volunteer recruitment and much more. I am beyond excited for this opportunity to be a part of a new community and serve alongside my boyfriend, who is the Executive Director here :-) I will be using this blog to update family, friends, supporters and anyone else interested in reading. |
