| Introduction | Patricia Milton is the author of "Solving Sunflowers," a finalist in the 2009 Eudora Welty New Play Competition, and "Driven," a Christmas comedy with a wicked edge. She has co-authored with Andrew Black three plays: "Porn Yesterday," "It's Murder, Mary!" and "Strange Bedfellows." Patricia is also author of numerous one-act plays, including "Busybody," and "Real/Not Real." Her "The Only Virgin in Jubilee County" won the 2007 Hill Country Playwrighting Festival in Marble Falls, TX, premiered in 2007, and is published by Eldridge Publishing. Her monologue will be published this year in a collection by the International Centre for Women Playwrights (ICWP). Her short plays have been produced around the US, including at the 2007 and 2008 Bay Area One Acts Festivals, 2006 San Francisco Fringe Festival, 2007 Dragonfly Festival, Boston, Sheherezade 2005-2008, 2004 Bay Area Festival of One Act Plays (2nd Prize), 2004 and 2003 Short Leaps Festivals, and 2005-2006 PlayGround SF. She is President, Playwrights Center of San Francisco, and a member of Theatre Bay Area, International Centre for Women Playwrights, Play Café, and The Dramatists Guild. |
