| Introduction | A marine mammal scientist and originally co-founder of the charity ORCA – Organisation Cetacea - Dylan set up the very successful Company of Whales, running trips across the Bay of Biscay. He now runs Planet Whale but is also an accomplished author, having written several acclaimed books on cetaceans, including ‘Whales and Dolphins of the North American Pacific’, ‘Whales and Dolphins of the European Atlantic’ and ‘Whales and Dolphins of Great Britain’. In short, he’s the man! As well running Planet Whale, Ian is recognised as one of Europe’s best known tour leaders and inspirational speakers, each year talking to thousands of people about nature, spirit, and the power of the natural world – in particular whales and dolphins – to make them feel good. With a consuming life-long passion for whales and dolphins and a deep knowledge of natural history, for more than 20 years Ian has been guiding groups of people to see the whales, dolphins and wildlife of every wild corner of the Earth. |
