Introduction I'm a married 63 year old mother blessed with four sons, two daughters, three grandaughters, and a new grandson. After being raised in Cedar Falls, Iowa, and attending a three year nursing school in Rochester, Minnesota, I transplanted to California because of the mild climate and beautiful, diverse scenery. A lovely nursing student in the class ahead of me, Devona, was assigned as my mentor, or "big sister," and among other things, she taught me to knit. Being an Emergency Department nurse for the past 41 years, I find it fun and relaxing having several projects going simultanously. I love all of the gorgeous yarns to choose from, and find knitting the perfect hobby to unwind with. (no pun intended!) I have a theory this is one way our mothers and grandmothers may have gotten by without anti-depressants, tranquilizers, and therapy. (Not sure it's cheaper, but definitely more fun!!) I'm looking forward to becoming a better and more frequent knitter after a long, twenty five year hiatus. For more information see Questionaire, May 30,2005, below. Click under Archives.
