| Introduction | I am a second-year graduate student at the University of San Diego in the Higher Education Leadership program. I work as a Graduate Assistant in the Center for Student Success. Before attending the USD, I got my BA at the University of La Verne in Social Science. While I was at La Verne I was an active member for 4 years in Iota Delta sorority, worked in the Office of Student Life for 3 years (2 years as the Club and Organization Coordinator), was selected as a member of Order of Omega, the Greek Honor Society and much more. Basically, I was involved in anything and everything while I was there. It was my experience at La Verne that got me really interested in working in higher education. I grew up in Anaheim, CA and plan to return there after I graduate from USD. I am a first-generation college student, Latina, and very proud. I am definitely my mother's daughter. I am a big sister and try to be a role model to my two little sisters (my baby girls). I just got engaged to my boyfriend of 7 years and could not be happier.
